Overview
In Canada, 1 in 3 people will experience a mental health challenge in their lifetime, often encountering long wait times, limited access, and services that don’t meet their needs.
As Head of Product & Lead Product Designer at Numinus, II translated complex clinical protocols into safe, compliant, and accessible patient experiences, building an integrated system that supports clients before, during, and after psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Problem
Psychedelic-assisted therapy (Ketamine, Psilocybin, MDMA) requires rigorous protocols, multi-step preparation, and deep emotional support. The challenge was not only to design an app, but to design an end-to-end therapeutic ecosystem that respected clinical rigor while centering human needs.
Key complexity involved:
Working within strict Canadian regulatory guidelines
Navigating medical and operational workflows inside clinics
Creating trauma-informed, accessible digital experiences
Designing for clients in highly vulnerable states
Ensuring clinicians could integrate the tool into care

Result
Together with clinicians, researchers, and operations teams, we brought to life an ecosystem that supports clients through one of the most sensitive forms of mental health treatment.
Outcomes include:
Launch of the Community App, extending care beyond sessions
A cohesive digital-physical service experience inside clinics
Clearer, patient-centered processes around prep and integration
Tools that help clients feel supported, connected, and empowered
A scalable model that can support future psychedelic-assisted therapies as regulations evolve
