Aly Blenkin

I'm currently consulting with a consotrium of organisations looking to help smallholder farms with low literacy get access to resources and assets.

 

Previously, I was Head of Digital at Snook, where I was responsible for growing the team and digital offering to drive impact in the public sector in the UK. Before joining Snook, I was co-director and co-founder of Pivotal Act, an initiative within VMware focused on helping nonprofits design and build technology.

During my time heading up Pivotal Act, I supported projects, such as developing a tool in response to COVID-19 by connecting care providers with essential workers and helping an anti-human trafficking organisation bring their prevention curriculum online. Before launching Pivotal Act, I worked at Pivotal Labs consulting various industries, such as energy, finance, and health tech. I also worked at ThoughtWorks and in academia at Parsons in Design and Technology.

I have a master’s in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons in New York. My bachelor's degree is in Industrial Design from the University of Alberta, Canada, and I studied Service Design at Köln International School of Design in Germany.
